The best peanut butter you will ever eat

So I have been seeing all of these posts on pinterest and facebook about making your own nut butters.  I'm not a HUGE fan of nut butters so I was very interested to see what all of the hype was about.

Here is what I did:

I took my little booty to Whole Foods and bought a 16 oz bag of roasted, unsalted, shelled peanuts

I poured said bag of peanuts in a food processor..

Turned food processor on..

It looked like corn "meal"

I kept the food processor on for a few minutes..

Then it started to get almost like a clay consistency.
Just keep going!!  I did not add any oil (some recipes call for it, but I wanted to keep it as low fat as possible.)  I added a tiny amount of Himalayan pink salt.  It was literally peanuts and a few grinds of the freshly ground salt.
It got really smooth and all of the oils released!
I poured the peanut butter into a Ball mason jar and BAM!!  THE BEST PEANUT BUTTER YOU WILL EVER TASTE!  I can't wait to make more varieties.
I will never be buying peanut butter again!
The finished product, it did not last very long in our kitchen!
What have you guys made?  Is there something I must try?
Next I am going to try to make homemade nutella.  yuuuummmm

Until next time friends,

xo
